To keep this investigation going, Microsoft has provided an entire document report to CMA containing every key detail regarding this deal, and one of the segments includes details about their competitors.
And on page number-24 of the document, its highlights that Activision’s competitor Rockstar Games, would launch GTA 6 in 2024, and it also mentions Take-Two Interactive’s other hits games, such as Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption.
You can see their exact wording from these official notes in the above image, which reads that “The highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) is expected to be released in 2024”.
As they mentioned, this release year is an ‘expectation’, so it is not any confirmed date, but as it is part of an investigation, there are higher chances it would come out as accurate in the future.
Besides, some of the earlier reports have suggested the game’s arrival is in 2025 or 2026 because it is currently under development, but now it seems that we only have to wait for two years.
