1. Press the Windows Key + R button on your keyboard. On the RUN dialog box, enter Regedit and press Enter.
2. In the Registry Editor, navigate to the path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI\BootAnimation
3. Double-click on the DisableStartupSound option.
4. You must change the value data to 0 and click Ok.
4. Disable Startup Sound by Modifying the System Registry
Another way to disable the Startup Sound on Windows 11 is to modify the Registry file. However, this method will not work on Windows 11 Home Edition.
1. Press the Windows Key + R button on your keyboard. On the RUN dialog box, type regedit and press Enter.
2. This will open the Registry Editor. Navigate to this path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
3. On the right side, find and double-click on the DisableStartupSound REG-DWORD key.
4. On the Value data field, type 1 and press Enter. This will disable the Startup Sound.
5. To enable the Startup sound, type 0 in the Value data field and click OK.
